Primer with direct adhesion on metals such as brass, bronze, aluminum and stainless steel. Suitable for overcoating with both single-component and two-component products and in particular, on boat propellers, with CONTENDER ELICHE antifouling. ComparePREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT AND APPLICATION CYCLE
METAL (BOAT PROPELLERS):
Degrease the surface with a suitable solvent (nitro, epoxy or polyurethane type). Sandblast if possible or carefully sand with coarse sandpaper (80-100). The surface must be well roughened. Avoid using used abrasive paper or iron brushes because instead of roughening they polish the surface and decrease the adhesion of the primer coat. After sanding (or sandblasting) dust the surface with a dry air jet, avoiding touching the surface with your hands in order not to leave grease or dirt marks that are preclusive of an unsatisfactory result.
Apply a coat of ELIPRIMER 1C strictly respecting the application data reported in this sheet. Wait at least 4 hours and maximum 12 hours (20 ° C) then over paint with a first coat of CONTENDER ELICHE antifouling. Apply a second coat of CONTENDER ELICHE antifouling within 4 hours of applying the first coat of antifouling. Place the boat in the water after a minimum of 24 hours.
