Two-component polyurethane undercoat for boats and bodywork in general. Equipped with excellent coverage and good filling power, it is used as an intermediate on wood, iron or plastic and as a preparation coat for finishing with two-component enamels (such as Acriglass, Space Top or Whitext).

PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT AND APPLICATION CYCLE

New iron. Sandblasting to SA 2.5 grade or if it is not possible to mechanically abrasive the substrate. Apply an epoxy base coat such as EPOFOND AM-9 and let it dry for the necessary time. Then apply 1-2 coats of POLIFOND followed by the chosen finish, always observing the recommended overpainting times.

Already painted iron.If the previous finish was epoxy or polyurethane, sand and apply 1-2 coats of POLIFOND and recoat with the chosen finish. If in doubt about the origin of the pre-existing coating, sand and test a part of the surface to make sure it does not soften, come off or come off, in which case it would be necessary to completely remove the paint layer down to metal. bare and proceed as indicated for new iron supports.

New wood. Apply a coat of POLIGLASS varnish diluted 50-100% with Thinner 203 or a coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO diluted 30-40% with Thinner 107. Allow to dry for 8-12 hours and after sanding apply 1-2 coats of POLIFOND and over paint with the chosen finish.

Already painted wood. If the previous finish was epoxy or polyurethane and in good condition, sand and apply 1-2 coats of POLIFOND and paint over with the chosen finish; otherwise completely remove the old paint and proceed as indicated for new wood.
